Eagle Point Camping

Nestled on a peninsula of Bantry Bay is Eagle Point camping. With the Coomhola River to the North and the Ouvane River to the South, you will have an incredible view all around you. This area of West Cork is among the most scenic in the entire country. You can sleep a few feet from the water, wake up and take in the natural beauty of the region.

Wave Crest Caravan Park

Another fantastic camping option is the Wave Crest Caravan Park. Located in the heart of Caherdaniel on the Ring of Kerry, this location has a scenic overlook of Kenmare Bay and access to some of Ireland’s best beaches. This is a great stop among the famous Ring of Kerry Driving Route and will give you a time you won’t forget.

This is another spot that allows all kinds of camping and has a café, internet access, tourist information, and much more right on the premises.

Beara Peninsula

On the Southwest coast, Beara Peninsula is a place that has several fantastic camping areas. Although there are a few, there are three main campgrounds that call Baera Peninsula home. Beara Camping, Gelngariff Caravan and Camping Park, and Eagle Point Camping are all right here. Eagle Point Camping has already been discussed, but the other two offer different perspectives of this beautiful area.

Despite being in one area, each one of these options has unique views and amenities for you to enjoy. This is truly one of the most beautiful areas in all of Ireland and camping on them can give you a super cool perspective on nature.

Clifden Eco Beach Camping and Caravanning Park

As you move north up the coastline, you will eventually come upon the Clifden Eco Beach Camping and Caravanning Park. Some of the most beautiful and safe beaches in all of Ireland are located here. A cool fact about this specific campground is that it is “Ireland’s first eco-certified carbon-neutral premises.”

This is an awesome place to beautiful views of the ocean and interacts with wildlife while also not harming the environment.

Baginbun Beach

Although there are a ton of great camping locations in Ireland, the final one on this list is Baginbun Beach. This is on the Southeast coast of the country and butts up against a beautiful cove with sandy beaches. It is located right by Fethard in County Wexford and is home to wild camping. No caravans or motorhomes are allowed, but you can access your primitive side and wild camp right next to the water.
